New builds & renovations
Plan it before the walls close
The cheapest smart home decisions are made while the chasing is still open. We work with homeowners, architects, interior designers and contractors early.
Almost everything we retrofit later would have cost a fraction during construction: a neutral wire at each switch, a few Ethernet runs, power above a window for a blind motor, a cable to the gate, a cupboard with ventilation and power for the equipment.
Our involvement at this stage is consulting and coordination rather than disruption. We mark up drawings, agree positions with the electrical contractor, and specify what to pull and where — so the house is ready for automation whether you install everything on day one or over the next five years.
We're comfortable working inside an existing professional team, and we're happy to keep the scope to advice if that's all you need at this point.
Outcomes
What early planning avoids
No surface trunking later
Cables where they belong: in the wall, decided before the plaster goes on.
Switches in the right places
Positions that suit how the rooms will be used, with the wiring to make them smart.
Wi-Fi that works by design
Access point locations cabled and powered rather than improvised afterwards.
Blinds ready to motorise
Power at the right height in the right recess, even if the motors come later.
A proper equipment position
One ventilated, powered, cabled cupboard instead of a router on a bookshelf.
Budget you control
A phased plan: infrastructure now, devices when you're ready.
